Getaway weekend

What a weekend for our program down in Delaware. With last minute changes to rosters due to a number of issues we are all dealing with during this pandemic our teams found a way to come together and compete as an organization. Our teams showed very well as three teams went to the championship game and our 13’s and 17’s battled against great teams and teams in our organization.

Our 12u team hit dingers all weekend long that helped them compete for the championship but to fall short against another great team. Almost boys!! Our 13u team took care of business on Saturday but ran into a good team Sunday afternoon and lost a tough one. They are showing improvement each week making the transition this fall into the bigger field. Keep it going boys!!

Our 15u team battled to the championship and but came up short due to the good team they faced and the sacrifice the players made this weekend playing on multiple teams to make sure the older team didn’t have to drop out because of losing players during the week. Thank you boys for committing to the teams like you did. Same thing went for our 16u team who won the championship and had multiple guys compete on other teams. This team is turning heads as they started out the year playing mostly local tournament to winning travel tournaments this fall. This team will be one to watch next year based on their great progression with Coach Wodzisz.

The 17’s and 18’s battled well on Saturday both earning a visit with each other on Sunday morning. Both short handed they both played well and competed against each other until the 17’s ran out of pitching. It was great to see them enjoy the day against each other during the game and seeing them make the most of it. The 18’s played their last game together in the championship game to fall by one run. It was great to see old players come back to play together one last time and I could be more proud on how our organization represented themselves the whole weekend. Thank you parents and players and coaches for enjoying the weekend for the first time the Powerballers played all in one place for the first time.

Progression our ballplayers passion. #Powerballin
